New joy sign in shop today....and just in time for my huge show this weekend.   This weekends show is the best show I do all year....and I have made lots this year.  

Sweet paper pieced flowers and greenery, holly leaves cut from sheet music and poem books, hand painted holly berries and just a touch of aqua.

We Are Moving!!

We are in the process of moving from Virginia to Delaware.   While my art studio is is boxes, I have closed from Sept 29 - Oct 15th.   My Etsy shop is still open with extended delivery times.

Cancelling

Due to high winds, no electricity and having to use my trailer to get to show for set up tonight, I AM CANCELLING FOR TOMORROW!!
I am so sorry that we have to do this.  I know some of you were picking up orders and looking forward to seeing my new items.  But things are very bad here locally and I have not had power since 3am.  We are also very concerned about driving my art trailer in this wind.   My next show is in Arlington on April 7th

The making of a bunny....

So I thought you may like to see a little bit of the process I go through with my mixed media......I wish I had taken more pictures....next time I will

Step 1-  Sketching out a bunny...and figuring out what sayings I like the most.....

Step 2- basing and creating the under collage of all the book pages, tissue paper and sheet music.....then base coating with the light aqua paint.  I then do a little stamping to create more texture. Then I painted my bunny.

Step 3-  Start adding my details and I adding my saying to bottom

And here she is finished.....

I also made another one with the saying "bunny kisses & Easter wishes"
